We’re excited to announce that MBC Insurance have rebranded as Clear Insurance Ireland, effective 1st July 2025. This marks an important step in its continued growth and integration with the Clear Group.
This rebrand reflects MBC’s evolution as part of the Clear Group. It also signals the beginning of a broader strategy for us to unify past and future Irish acquisitions under the Clear Insurance Ireland identity, with the aim to create a stronger and more cohesive presence across the country.
We entered the Irish market in 2023 with the acquisition of McAuliffe Barry & Collins Ltd, trading as MBC Insurance and Techinsure.ie. This was our first acquisition outside the UK and a significant milestone in our international growth strategy.
We’ve since continued to strengthen our presence in the Irish market through strategic acquisitions, including Phelan Caswell Insurances, which had previously acquired EBIB and Sweeney Walsh & Associates. These additions underscore the Group’s commitment to building a strong, client-focused insurance presence across Ireland.
Clear Insurance Ireland, including Techinsure.ie, will now form part of the wider Clear Group, enabling clients in Ireland to benefit from the scale, expertise and resources of a larger organisation while maintaining the local, personalised service they know and trust.

The rebrand will be visible across all client communications and digital platforms from today, with no changes to existing policies or day-to-day contacts.
This change represents the start of a new chapter for MBC – one built on continuity, commitment, and the shared values of client care, innovation, and integrity.
