When our client's residential property suffered a devastating fire and the insurer was reluctant to settle the claim, CLEAR came to the rescue.

Our client's claim involved substantial damage to the building and contents to a residential property. Initially the insurer and their loss adjusters raised various issues on policy liability and refused to pay the claim. However, after lengthy negotiations, CLEAR were able to convince the insurer that the loss should be paid and that their interpretation of the policy wording was incorrect. They reluctantly accepted the situation but attempted to maintain they could use their own approved builders to reinstate the damage. Once again, on behalf of our client and in their best interests we did not accept this condition and were able to further negotiate an agreed schedule of repairs and a substantial settlement figure, in excess of £200,000, leaving our client free to repair the property and undertake alterations using contractors of their own choosing.
