Every year the CLEAR awards celebrate staff excellence across the business. Whilst it's certainly taken us longer than usual to announce the winners of these prestigious annual employee awards, we are tremendously proud of their exceptional contributions to the business.

Anthony Ferguson wins the Pauline Uludag Employee of the Year Award in recognition of his personal and professional growth and contribution to the business(Award £1,500)

a ferguson

Anthony is the man you want beside you when contemplating something daunting like an office move or an acquisition. In his cheerful but persistent manner, he holds us to account if things start to slide but always has a solution to offer.

Anthony is well known and respected for getting things done and no-one leaves his meetings without a set of action points being agreed.

So, in appreciation for all his hard work, thoughtfulness and dedication - especially in the way he has taken over leadership of the IT team, this year’s Employee of the Year award goes to him!

Helen Rollinson is joint winner of the Directors Award for outstanding performance (Award £750)

h rollinson

It's been a challenging time for Helen and her colleagues, to say the least. After all, When your former boss leaves, sets up a new brokerage and recruits members of your team to join him, it takes a steady, grounded temperament to keep your team together and not succumb to these setbacks.

Helen demonstrated just that level of confidence and fortitude, as well as a steadfast loyalty to the business. But more importantly, she reassured her team, earning their affection and respect, while maintaining a sharp focus on strategies for retaining clients.

This year will be another bumpy one for Leamington, but Helen and her team are in a much better position to face the ups and downs to come and drive the business forward to renewed growth and success.

Nick Smallcorn is joint winner of the Directors Award for outstanding performance (Award £750)

n smallcorn

Nick has had a pretty big year at CLEAR, to put it mildly.

Using his know-how, energy and initiative, he has developed the corporate client offering, secured our membership at Lloyds and taken over the Corporate Team from Dan Innes.

These are no mean accomplishments on their own, but Nick did all of this while also maintaining a sizeable client book and finding time for new business.

Thanks to Nick's outstanding performance and exemplary work, we expect to see some tangible benefits for the business from these achievements in the coming months.

Tom Oates wins the Young Achiever Award for positive attitude and potential (Award £500)

T Oates AE6A4448

Tom’s ‘can do’ attitude has not gone unnoticed at Maidstone where he has demonstrated an unrelenting keenness to learn alongside a single-minded determination to surpass the expectations of clients and colleagues alike.

Tom joined MPW about two and a half years ago with a personal lines background. Since then has devoted his energy and enthusiasm to learning as much as he can about commercial insurance, and is showing a particular interest in construction covers. Tom is also making good progress towards completing his Dip CII.

Having recently moved out of the Enterprise team dealing with the smaller package type clients, Tom is already making his mark in the Corporate team, particularly on new business. He is very much the epitome of ‘keep calm and carry on’ and doesn’t seem to be phased by anything.

Maybe it's down to that almost Zen-like focus he's learned in his hobby of power lifting!

Shaun Towner wins the Personal Development Award in recognition of his professional achievements (Award £500)

S Towner AE6A7774

Shaun has been on a personal mission to develop and grow professionally, advancing quickly within the business from account handler to ACII qualified account executive with responsibility for his own book of clients.

Taking every opportunity to learn from his more experienced colleagues at Maidstone - and with the support of MPW's management who have great faith in his potential - Shaun’s success and achievements are testimony to his hard work and ambition and he wholeheartedly deserves this token of appreciation from his colleagues and peers.

Matt Lewis wins the New Joiner Award for rising to a challenge and making a positive difference quickly (Award £500)

m lewis

Matt only joined the Arbor team in Cranleigh in January this year but has already distinguished himself as a resourceful and dedicated colleague with real team spirit and a 'can do' attitude.

When his colleague, Catherine Bucci went on honeymoon and another colleague unfortunately fell ill at the same time, Matt didn't hesitate to rise to the challenge and take on the role of dedicated Arbor broker, alone.

Matt's pluck and commitment made a real difference when it mattered most, and his colleagues at Cranleigh - and all of us - look forward to him forging a long, successful and rewarding career with us here at CLEAR.

Congratulations to all the winners! We’re celebrating their achievements at CLEAR offices across the UK today with pizza and bubbles, keep up to date with the festivities across LinkedIn and Twitter.
